It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene Birdgenaw, of Châteauguay, Québec, who passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Darlene was the beloved wife of Michael Gearey and a devoted mother to Dylen and Brooke (Stephen). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Aria, Madden, and Ronan, who brought her so much joy. She is also survived by her sister Ann (Terry) and brother Wayne (Jo Ann), as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Darlene will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared so freely with everyone who knew her. Her laughter, strength, and caring spirit touched countless lives.
A funeral mass will be held at St Francis Xavier Mission Catholic Church, 1 River Road, Kahnawake, QC. J0L 1B0. On November 29th at 11:00am. Immediately following a celebration of life at the St Kateri Hall (side entrance) located beside the church.
