C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Françoise Lavigne.
Elle a prit son dernier souffle paisiblement le 27 février 2026, à l’âge de 71 ans, sa fille à ses côtés.
Elle a passé les derniers mois de sa vie en soins palliatifs, dans le confort et l’amour de sa maison, tel était son souhait, entourée de son conjoint Marc, de sa fille Fanny, ainsi que sa famille et de nombreuses amies venues lui rendre visite, la soutenir et l’accompagner avec tendresse.
Les gens étaient naturellement attirés par sa présence lumineuse, par l’amour qu’elle donnait, sa grande écoute, sa douceur et son ouverture du cœur. La spiritualité faisait partie intégrante de son quotidien et guidait sa manière d’être au monde.
Françoise est née le 18 novembre 1954 à Ottawa. Elle a étudié en enseignement à l’Université d’Ottawa, après quoi elle a mené une carrière au sein du gouvernement.
À l’âge de 41 ans, elle a choisi de réorienter sa vie pour se consacrer pleinement à la relation d’aide notamment à travers la massothérapie, l’orthothérapie et l’accompagnement spirituel. À la suite d’une maîtrise en counselling spirituel à l’Université Saint-Paul d’Ottawa, elle a accompagné avec compassion des personnes en fin de vie et des personnes endeuillées.
Elle a été précédée par sa mère, Adrienne Bourguignon, son père, Édouard Lavigne, ainsi que son frère André.
Elle laisse dans le deuil sa fille Fanny Boileau, son conjoint Marc Payment, ses sœurs Denise, Danielle (Ronald) et Sylvie (Marc), ainsi que son frère Michel (Sherry).
Françoise manquera profondément à sa famille et à ses nombreux amis. Son amour continue de vivre à travers ceux et celles qu’elle a touchés.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Françoise Lavigne.
She took her last breath peacefully on February 27, 2026, at the age of 71, with her daughter by her side.
She spent the final months of her life in palliative care, in the comfort and love of her home, as she had wished, surrounded by her partner Marc, her daughter Fanny, her family, and many dear friends who came to visit, support, and accompany her with tenderness.
People were naturally drawn to her radiant presence, to the love she gave, her deep listening, her gentleness, and her open heart. Spirituality was an integral part of her daily life and guided the way she moved through the world.
Françoise was born on November 18, 1954, in Ottawa. She studied education at the University of Ottawa, after which she built a career within the federal government.
At the age of 41, she chose to redirect her life to fully dedicate herself to helping others, particularly through massage therapy, orthotherapy, and spiritual guidance. Following a master’s degree in spiritual counselling from Saint Paul University in Ottawa, she compassionately supported individuals at the end of life and those who were grieving.
She was predeceased by her mother, Adrienne Bourguignon; her father, Édouard Lavigne; and her brother, André.
She leaves behind her daughter, Fanny Boileau; her partner, Marc Payment; her sisters, Denise, Danielle (Ronald), and Sylvie (Marc); and her brother, Michel (Sherry).
Françoise will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends. Her love continues to live on through all those whose lives she touched.
A celebration of her life will take place in the Outaouais region. The date and details will be shared on her Facebook page when they become available.
